Ms. Caitlin, a Bucks County native, has been bringing the gift of music into students' homes since 2017. She's a teacher who truly shows up for every student, bringing classical foundations and the music you love.
Her Story
Ms. Caitlin's musical journey began in Doylestown, where she grew up as a proud graduate of Central Bucks East. She started piano at age seven with Sylvia Rea, a highly regarded Bucks County instructor whose home studio became the foundation of Caitlin's musical journey. Throughout her school years, she dedicated herself to the keys, accompanying choirs and deepening her love for the instrument. After graduating from Temple University with a minor in elementary education, Ms. Caitlin founded Piano Lessons by Caitlin in 2017, channeling everything she learned as a student, an accompanist, and a lifelong musician into lessons that are personal, purposeful, and always centered on the student. Ms. Caitlin holds all required Pennsylvania clearances to ensure every family feels confident welcoming her into their home.
Philosophy
Independence Through Literacy
Ms. Caitlin’s teaching is rooted in a strong classical foundation, where note reading is essential to musical independence. By mastering the language of music, students gain the confidence to explore any style they love, from timeless classical pieces to pop hits and cinematic film scores. Students of all ages are welcome. Whatever music moves you, Ms. Caitlin will help you play it!
The Curriculum Follows the Student
Ms. Caitlin primarily utilizes the Alfred method for its clear, logical progression, drawing on Bastien when it better suits a student's learning style. More advanced students often find success working through the John Thompson series. The exact method always takes a back seat to the student. Every curriculum is tailored to their individual pace, personality, and interests. The ultimate goal is simple: independent readers with the skills to sit down and play the music they truly love.

Temple University
Ms. Caitlin holds a degree from Temple University with a minor in elementary education — giving her a formal understanding of how people learn, not just how to play. That background shapes how she approaches every student, regardless of age or experience level.

Ms. Caitlin has been running Piano Lessons by Caitlin for nearly a decade, building a roster of students across Bucks County. Her experience spans beginners of all ages, from young children taking their very first lesson to adults returning to the piano after years away.
